Have you ever heard the saying, “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” Well that’s EXACTLY what I am trying to achieve.
God has given me the freedom to choose the different variables of my life. If we decide one day that our job is not working for us, we have the freedom to walk out (Not saying that this is the best idea…but we do have the freedom). I’ve realized while I am thankful for my 8-5, I am not 100% content to stay where I am. I thank God every morning for allowing me to have a job, especially during these trying times with the economy, but I also pray that God will lead me in the direction necessary to live out my DESTINY. I am 100% convinced that my government job is NOT the end for me.
I was scrolling through Facebook the other day; I found an insightful quote that read, “If you don’t live out your dreams, you will be working for someone who did.” WOW! If you really think about it, this is so very true. Wherever you work, there is someone sitting at the top, who worked hard for their dreams to come to fruition. If they did it, WE CAN DO IT TOO! It will take hard work folks. It will take dedication, blood, sweat, and some tears. It will take negative criticism, people turning their backs on you, people not believing in you, closed doors in your face….But hey…No one said it would be easy, but it WILL be WORTH IT!
As I type this I am listening to “My name is Victory” by Jonathan Nelson. “Victory, that’s my name, Victory, I know who I am!” Remember while striving toward your goals to never give up, EVER!!! You are VICTORY!
So what are your DREAMS? What are your aspirations? What are you doing to move closer to your DESTINY?
